St. Patrick's Day Rainbow Chain

St. Patrick's Day Rainbow Chain and Pot of Gold

Here is a colorful and easy craft to decorate your house for St. Patrick's Day. Older kids can make this on their own, while your little ones and toddlers can practice cutting and colors.

What you'll need:

Cut 2 inch strips of each color of construction paper. Pro tip: stack them and cut them all in one go. Then tape one color (we made ours a rainbow) into a circle. Thread the next color through the first and tape it into a circle. Continue this until you have a nice, colorful paper chain.

Fold your black piece of construction paper in half and cut out a pot shape something like this:

Cut out about 10-15 "gold coins" and glue or tape them to the backside of your pot.

Fold a strip of green construction paper in half and cut out three hearts and a small rectangle. Tape them together.

Affix your clover on your pot of gold, and there ya go! A pot of gold at the end of a rainbow! For extra giggles, ask your kiddos what they would do if they found a pot of gold and write their answers on the back of the pot with a silver sharpie. I'd love to hear their answers - share them below!
